2024 World Hemophilia Day — Green Light

In response to the ESG and DEI trends, and the emphasis on corporate social responsibility for talent around the world, CPT has officially announced to rejoin the "TALENT, in Taiwan, Talent Sustainability Action Alliance" at this critical moment.
We pledge to promote the following indicators and actions to maintain our sustainable competitiveness in the rapidly changing industry.
1. A clinical trial for hemophilia A non-antibody patients was coming to an end. Since the drug is still in the national health insurance (NHI) approval process, patients participating in the trial were not able to seamlessly continue with drugs covered by the NHI and were facing no drugs available, which would affect the quality of follow-up treatment. The pharmaceutical company that developed the drug, CPT, immediately mobilized its staffs and actively communicated with its headquarter in Japan, and was even willing to absorb up to ten million New Taiwan dollars in costs just to distribute the drugs to patients free of charge. There is a touching reason behind this decision.

World Hemophilia Day is celebrated annually on April 17. This year, Chugai Pharma Taiwan (CPT), together with Rakuten Monkeys, held the Round up Red Team Event in support of World Hemophilia Day. A glass of sparkling water: Chugai Pharma Taiwan takes the lead in plastic reduction and influencing other companies
By entering Chugai Pharma Taiwan’s(CPT) office room and having a drink of refreshing ice-cold sparkling water, one has in fact also done their part for the environment! CPT is a subsidiary of Japan’s Chugai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. Chairman Henry Chen stated the company mission is “add special value to the global medical community and human health through developing innovative drugs and services.” Employees invest every year in concrete carbon reduction and anti-global warming activities. “Plastic reduction” is an important step in environmental protection.
CPT’s Director of Human Resources Susan Chou stated that the company is committed to environmental protection and carbon reduction and has always believed that environmental care can be practiced in daily life. The company has switched to receive guests with sparkling water, reduced at least 15 plastic bottles and 15 disposable cups every week. In addition, ever since the addition of the sparkling water machine, employees have been drinking much more water every day.
