Chugai Pharma Taiwan Honored with the Ministry of Finance's 2023 Outstanding Business Entity Award
The Taipei City National Taxation Bureau of the Ministry of Finance stated that the recipients of the 2023 Outstanding Business Award were selected from a total of 266,723 businesses within its jurisdiction. After rigorous evaluation, only 67 businesses were chosen, resulting in a winning rate of only 0.025%. According to the criteria, eligible businesses must not have had any outstanding issues in the two years prior to the selection, such as no instances of missing or incorrect issuance of uniform invoices, no overdue declaration of sales, no major violations, or records of tax (including customs) arrears. Additionally, businesses must not have discontinued the use of electronic invoices, must not have violated environmental protection, labor, or food safety and hygiene laws, and should be of social concern or represent significant and exemplary cases. Achieving this award is a remarkable accomplishment for businesses, as the criteria are stringent and obtaining the recognition is considered quite challenging.
To acknowledge the prestigious honor of receiving the award, the Ministry of Finance presented a trophy, and the Northern Regional Taxation Bureau also bestowed a collaborative piece titled "Taiwan Blue Magpie Long Tail Formation" jade porcelain vase. The vase features the national bird, the Taiwan Blue Magpie, as its thematic decoration, symbolizing the distinguished and illustrious status of outstanding business entities. With the blue magpies in formation and the long tail array, the symbolism conveys a flourishing and prosperous business, praising the exemplary businesses for their substantial contributions to the national finances.
Mr. Takashi Okamoto, President of Chugai Pharma Taiwan, expressed great honor in receiving the Outstanding Business Entity Award. He expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Finance for the recognition of Chugai Pharma Taiwan's longstanding commitment to honest tax payment. This accolade not only acknowledges the company's contributions in the business sector but also highlights its adherence to tax regulations and the government's recognition of its commitment to quality. In the future, Chugai Pharma Taiwan will continue to adhere to regulations with a rigorous attitude, collaborate with government policies, pay taxes honestly, and fulfill its social responsibility.
